As Director of Brand Strategy & Community Connection, you'll lead the development of an authentic, unified brand voice across the health system, while also championing community relationships and digital engagement. Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a bold, cohesive brand strategy that supports SNHH's mission, values, and long-term growth
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on market positioning, public perception, and reputation management
  • Ensure brand integrity across all internal and external platforms
  • Lead integrated marketing campaigns that drive service line growth, patient engagement, and regional brand awareness
  • Oversee all digital channels (web, social, email, advertising) with a data-driven, performance-first mindset
  • Optimize marketing technology platforms and automation tools for maximum efficiency and ROI
  • Manage media buys, vendor partnerships, and advertising contracts
  • Own the system-wide content and storytelling strategy to support internal comms, recruitment, physician marketing, and patient outreach
  • Guide creation of high-quality multimedia content-from video to print to digital
  • Maintain an editorial calendar that reflects strategic priorities and community relevance
  • Be a visible and trusted representative of SNHH in the broader community
  • Cultivate relationships with local media, civic leaders, healthcare collaborators, and nonprofit partners
  • Oversee earned media strategy, sponsorships, public events, and outreach programs
  • Work closely with departments to support internal engagement and community health initiatives
  • Lead and grow a high-performing team of marketers, designers, and communicators
  • Develop and manage budgets aligned with outcomes, performance metrics, and system priorities
  • Foster a culture of creativity, curiosity, innovation, and accountability

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 8-10 years of progressive leadership experience in brand, marketing, or communications (healthcare experience a plus)
  • Proven expertise in digital strategy, content marketing, and campaign development
  • Strong understanding of CRM tools, analytics platforms, content management systems, and martech stacks
  • Experience managing teams and engaging senior leadership in brand-driven work
  • Exceptional communicator and relationship-builder
  • SHSMD or other healthcare marketing certification a plus
