About The Position

This role is responsible for overseeing spa/ gym operations, revenue growth, and guest experience while supporting staff performance and marketing initiatives. Key responsibilities include managing spa yield rates to maximize profitability, developing and executing marketing campaigns and promotional events, and fostering strong community relationships to enhance brand visibility. The position collaborates closely with Events and Promotions teams to coordinate VIP experiences, quarterly wellness events, and poolside or cabana activations. It also drives retail expansion, membership programs, loyalty initiatives, and targeted campaigns to increase revenue, retention, and client engagement. Oversight of inventory management ensures cost control and optimal product utilization. In addition to strategic and marketing responsibilities, the role provides operational leadership by directing, training, and supporting Attendants, Receptionists, and Therapists. It includes handling guest inquiries, resolving issues, managing scheduling and bookings, maintaining attendance records, and ensuring exceptional service standards. The position requires strong organizational skills, proactive problem-solving, and a consistently positive, guest-focused attitude.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Spa Yield Management: Monitor and adjust spa yield rates to ensure profitability and optimize service offerings.
  • Event Planning & Promotion: Organize quarterly spa and wellness events to increase brand awareness and engage with both existing and potential clients.
  • Collaborative Promotions: Work closely with the Events and Promotions team to design and implement special initiatives, including VIP events tailored to key clientele.
  • Community Engagement: Represent the spa within the local community, fostering relationships and promoting wellness offerings.
  • Guest Experience Enhancement: Oversee follow-up services to ensure exceptional guest experiences, including comment card reviews and proactive outreach for continuous improvement.
  • Employee Incentives & Upselling: Develop employee incentive programs aimed at increasing service add-ons and upselling opportunities, contributing to enhanced revenue generation.
  • Marketing & Promotion Strategy: Plan and execute targeted marketing campaigns for spa promotions, with an emphasis on gym memberships, retail area enhancements, and seasonal offerings.
  • Retail Expansion: Explore new retail product opportunities to enhance the spa's retail selection, including clothing, sunglasses, jewelry, gift baskets/packages, and spa tools.
  • Event Coordination: Organize and manage cabana and poolside events in coordination with gym and pool operations, ensuring seamless execution and guest satisfaction.
  • Client Communication: Handle all inbound inquiries via Ivy messaging, ensuring prompt and professional responses, while also sending out daily promotions and special offers to engage clients.
  • Group Service Promotion: Attend group service meetings to advocate for spa offerings and drive group bookings, focusing on upselling additional services.
  • Membership Programs: Create and manage incentives and loyalty programs, including points-based systems and targeted promotions, to drive membership sign-ups and retention.
  • Marketing Campaigns (B4T): Lead B4T marketing campaigns designed to keep existing clients engaged and encourage repeat business.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the inventory system for both retail and backbar products, implementing strategies to reduce costs and maximize product utilization.
  • Provides on-the-job work direction to Attendants, Receptionists and Therapists for the performance of their duties.
  • Counsels, guides and instructs assigned personnel in the proper performance of their duties. Provides input on Performance Appraisals.
  • Maintains attendance records and advises Supervisor/Manager of infractions. Keeps Supervisor/Manager appraise of other facility issues and submits work orders when necessary.
  • Trouble shoots problems and resolves guest issues.
  • Books massage appointments according to available times to ensure that Therapists can adequately accommodate all scheduled appointments.
  • Performs same duties as Attendant or Receptionist as needed.
  • Calls Security if emergency arises.
  • Assists in scheduling.
