JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the reception area of the salon and spa. Provides courteous and efficient guest service from point of arrival through check-out. Includes the greeting of all guests, answering phone calls, assisting guests with questions regarding salon/spa services, booking all appointments, upselling spa treatments, and assisting in retail sales.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Hospitality or customer service or reception desk and/or salon/spa experience required.
  • Cash handling experience required.
  • Must have TAM card within 30 days of hire.
  • Must have Health card.
  • Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer skills.
  • Must be detail oriented, friendly, outgoing and have excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for checking spa guests in & out.
  • Cash handling.
  • Establishing forms of payment for services.
  • Making reservations for all spa and salon treatments.
  • Closing books at the end of the business day.
  • Needs to be knowledgeable of other department’s services etc.
  • Sales of spa merchandise.
  • Checks in fitness center guests.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Understanding of good health habits in terms of exercise and nutrition.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of who will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts
  • Basic mathematical comprehension to understand the interpret numbers as they apply to operation in hotels, spas, salons, and health facilities
