Vantor is currently seeking energetic, enthusiastic, and motivated engineering students to join our 2026 Summer Internship Program in Westminster, CO. The Spacecraft Engineering team is responsible for the health and safety, performance optimization, and anomaly resolution of Vantor’s spacecraft constellation. The team also supports design, development, integration, testing, and operation of Vantor’s next generation spacecraft. All roles involve significant collaboration with Spacecraft Engineers as well as with engineers from multiple teams across spacecraft and ground system development. Our 12-to-13 week internship program provides students with hands-on experience in a variety of disciplines. From spacecraft requirements and procurement to operations and anomaly resolution, Vantor offers opportunities to gain valuable skills and mentorship by working with cutting-edge technologies and industry-leading experts on real missions. In addition to competitive hourly pay, we provide cross-functional lunch-and-learn sessions, professional development workshops, social events and an executive speaker series. Currently, our 2026 internship program is set to be on-site and in-office.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program with completion of 2 years or more, or currently enrolled in Master’s degree program, either in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, math, or related discipline
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink or Python

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with UNIX/LINUX operating Systems
  • Experience with Github
  • Experience with STK
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical groups
  • Independent working skills
  • Microsoft Office Proficient
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Supporting Spacecraft Engineering in all areas of analysis, development, and documentation.
  • Develop telemetry displays for S/C operations
  • Develop spacecraft command procedures
  • Develop and enhance tools used to monitor spacecraft telemetry and to maintain S/C state of health
  • Write technical documents as assigned
