About The Position
A warm, generous, and private family in Dallas, Texas, is seeking a proactive, energetic Spanish-speaking Nanny/Family Assistant to support their two daughters, ages 11 and 13. The family leads an active lifestyle that includes horse shows, travel, and outdoor activities. They are looking for a long-term candidate who can become a trusted part of the household and provide structure, engagement, and positive mentorship for the children. The family values discretion, initiative, strong communication, and someone who can read the room and support the household without needing constant direction. The schedule will be approximately 40 hours per week (flexible schedule depending on activities). Typical hours: 10am-6pm or 12pm-8pm on activity days. Must be okay with dogs and horses.
Requirements
- Clean driving record
- Must like dogs and horses
- Ability to travel
- The ability to speak Spanish
Responsibilities
- Childcare
- Supervise and care for two school-aged girls
- Assist with homework and academic support
- Encourage learning and curiosity
- Engage the children in active play (biking, trampoline, outdoor activities)
- Maintain healthy routines and structure
- Transport children to school activities, lessons, and horse events
- Transportation
- Drive children to activities, including the horse barn (approximately 1 hour away)
- Must be comfortable with frequent driving
- Candidate should have their own reliable vehicle (gas and mileage reimbursed)
- Family Assistant Duties
- While children are in school, assist with:
- Grocery shopping
- Running errands
- Organizing closets, pantry, and household spaces
- Picking up dry cleaning
- General household support
- Light tidying and kitchen cleanup
- Cooking
- Prepare simple, healthy meals for the family 2–3 times per week
- Cook for the children when parents are out
- Travel & Activity Support
- Assist with packing for:
- Camp
- Horse shows
- Travel
- Occasionally, travel with the family
- Sometimes remain at home to care for the dogs when the family travels
- Pet Care
- Goldendoodle (~40 lbs)
- Cavapoo (~10 lbs)
- Equestrian Lifestyle
- Must be comfortable around horses and barn environments
- Assist with logistics related to horse shows
