About The Position

Adelphi is seeking Special Education Paraprofessionals to provide instructional and behavioral support to students with disabilities in a school in Evans, Georgia. The paraprofessional will work under the supervision of certified teachers to assist students with individualized education plans (IEPs), behavior intervention plans, and adaptive learning needs across multiple special education programs including ASD, EBD, SID/PID, MOID, IRR, Pre-K, and CCETS.

Requirements

• Meet Georgia paraprofessional qualification requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to support reading, writing, mathematics, behavior, readiness, and adaptive skills.
• Completion of required training including Non-Violent Crisis Prevention Intervention when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in implementing instructional activities aligned with student IEPs.
• Support students with behavioral, academic, and adaptive skill development.
• Implement behavior intervention strategies as directed by teaching staff.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support for students with disabilities.
• Assist with supervision, classroom organization, and materials preparation.
• Collect and document data related to student progress and interventions.
• Support student participation in classroom and school activities.
• Maintain confidentiality of all student information.
• Participate in required training including FERPA, mandated reporting, and crisis intervention.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
