About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated Special Education (SPED) Teacher – Autism to support high school students in a structured Autism classroom setting. The ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction, behavioral support, and academic modifications to ensure students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) successfully access the curriculum and achieve their educational goals.

Requirements

• Active Virginia Teaching License (Special Education endorsement preferred)
• Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders
• Knowledge of IEP development and regulatory compliance
• Strong classroom management and behavioral support skills

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Deliver direct instruction tailored to students with Autism
• Modify and adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs
• Implement evidence-based behavioral intervention strategies
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Communicate consistently with parents and guardians
• Maintain a structured, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
