About The Position

Summer positions only Hours vary by program (Monday - Friday) - except ECSE No summer school on 6/19/2026 K-5 ESY: 8 hours/day 6 - 12 ESY: 4.5 hours/day Transition Plus ESY: 4.5 hours/day Dakota Ridge ESY (large group): 7 hours/day Dakota Ridge ESY (small group): 6 hours/day ECSE ESY: 7 hours/day (Thursday hours vary - No Fridays) Effective Date of Employment: Dates of Employment Vary by Program No summer school on 6/19/2026 K-12 ESY: 6/15/26 - 6/26/26, training on 6/8/2026 Transition Plus ESY: 6/15/26 - 6/26/26 , training on 6/8/2026 Dakota Ridge ESY (large group) : 6/15/26 - 6/26/26 Dakota Ridge ESY (small group) : 7/6/26 - 7/17/26 ECSE ESY: 6/15/26 - 6/25/26 and 7/6/26 - 7/9/26 Note : Applicants will be able to indicate summer programing preferences (age level, building, program, etc.) during the application process. Job Summary: Teach summer school curriculum of Independent School District 196. Carry out responsibilities as defined by the site coordinator/special education coordinators. Maintain good communication and cooperation with staff and parents.

Requirements

• Licensed by the state of Minnesota to teach special education.
• Experience working with special education students.
• Ability to relate positively to students, staff, and community.

• Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.
