About The Position

The On-Call Events Staff member is responsible for supporting the execution of casino events by providing exceptional customer service, managing logistics, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. This position involves working closely with event coordinators, management, and other team members to create a memorable experience for guests. May work in the Event Center, Carlino's, Obsidian Spirits Amphitheater assisting with concerts, banquets, conferences, or promotions. Must be able to commit to a minimum of 1 event per 2-week period.

Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Completion of Orientation and safety trainings
  • Additional trainings as assigned
  • Non-Slip Shoes
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred and/or one to three months related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Gaming license issued by the Paskenta Gaming Commission.
  • RBS certification as trained at Rolling Hills Casino.
  • Food handler’s permit from a relevant government agency.
  • Must obtain Title 31 certification as trained by Rolling Hills Casino.
  • State issued Driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working as a waiter/waitress preferred.
  • Hospitality mind-set is required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides constant, attentive and friendly service to guests.
  • Serve and refill complimentary beverages to guests.
  • Sell alcoholic beverages and food to guests, following RBS and Serve Safe guidelines.
  • Clear away dirty dishes and glassware from occupied/or unoccupied tables in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the timely set up of banquet facilities, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and decorations according to event specifications.
  • Efficiently break down and clean up after events, returning the space to its original condition.
  • Prepare and organize dining areas and buffets, ensuring all necessary items are in place before guests arrive.
  • Complete all side work in a timely and satisfactory manner to ensure a clean, neat work area with adequate supply level.
  • Monitor main entrance to ensure proper admission.
  • Assist guests in locating assigned seating.
  • Assist with crowd control.
  • Operates, balances and reconciles cash & credit card transactions, and follow proper procedures for closing and balancing till.
  • Able to maintain a positive and professional team atmosphere with fellow staff.
  • Relay any complaints, problems or positive remarks to Shift Supervisor.
  • Maintains assigned workstations and section.
  • Follow established departmental policies and procedures.
  • Assist in other projects, as directed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
