The Special Programs Attendance Support Specialist plays a vital role in supporting Ohio Digital Learning School’s (ODLS) mission to reduce chronic absenteeism and improve student engagement, with a focus on special population students including special education and at-risk learners. This position emphasizes proactive outreach, relationship-building, and individualized support to help students and families overcome barriers to attendance. By collaborating with school staff, families, and community partners, the Attendance Support Specialist helps ensure that students have the tools, resources, and encouragement they need to attend consistently and succeed in the online learning environment. The Special Programs Attendance Support Specialist plays a vital role in supporting Ohio Digital Learning School’s (ODLS) mission to reduce chronic absenteeism and improve student engagement, with a focus on special population students including special education and at-risk learners. This position emphasizes proactive outreach, relationship-building, and individualized support to help students and families overcome barriers to attendance. By collaborating with school staff, families, and community partners, the Attendance Support Specialist helps ensure that students have the tools, resources, and encouragement they need to attend consistently and succeed in the online learning environment. This is a full-time position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 9-5 (or 8-4) or as defined by the school.
