The Special Projects Lead is responsible for overseeing a team tasked with inspecting and repairing products identified as off spec or damaged from production and warehouse operations. This role ensures all work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with Lyons standards. In addition, the Special Projects Lead directs the assembly of fiber tote boxes to support production needs and coordinates various inspection activities and special projects as required. Key responsibilities include supervising daily team activities, ensuring quality and productivity expectations are met, completing all required documentation, and effectively communicating any issues or concerns related to special projects to the Production Support Manager.

Requirements

Experience with product inspection, quality control, or repair processes is a plus
Basic reading, writing and math skills
Good prioritization and problem-solving skills
High school or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in warehousing/manufacturing of foods and beverages.

Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred but not mandatory.

Conduct and oversee special project inspections and additional assignments as needed
Train team members on processes, safety procedures, and quality expectations
Promote a safe work environment by enforcing company safety policies and procedures
