At CHS, we are creating connections to empower agriculture.SummaryCHS is hiring a Senior AP/AR Specialist to join its finance team. The Senior AP/AR Specialist will generate accurate freight invoicing to CHS customers and perform tasks related to CHST drivers, owner operators and common carriers’ compensation. This is a hybrid position which can be based out of Grand Forks ND, Sioux Falls SD, or Inver Grove Heights MN.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, and/or AP/AR
  • High School diploma or GED

  • Proficient in MS Office suite
  • Experience using automated financial and accounting systems
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Associate's degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business, Business Administration, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Invoice freight customers
  • Provide analysis of rates/routes
  • System Updates for rates and fuel surcharge
  • Seek approvals for accessorial fees
  • Recap/Report
  • Code and Enter Payroll Information
  • Reconcile/Release Driver Payroll
  • Enter applicable operator deductions and release settlements for payment
  • Maintain and retain documents per retention policy
  • Set up Driver /Master/MOL
  • Conduct Orientation/Training
  • Monitor/Report Training Processes
  • Upload invoicing information into online payment applications
  • Resolve customer invoicing disputes
  • Assist credit on collection of aging invoices
