About The Position

Reporting to the Director of Assessment and Evaluation, the Specialist, Assessment is responsible for developing and managing the data collection processes for multiple stakeholders to track qualitative and quantitative progress, including working directly with StriveTogether’s Pathways Impact Fund [https://www.strivetogether.org/what-we-do/pathways-impact-fund/]. Additionally, the Specialist will lead cross-functional teams to deliver cohesive data collection communications, encourage data use in continuous improvement, and develop high-impact analyses and presentations for our stakeholders. This person will represent StriveTogether in external meetings, presentations, and partner communications, communicating clearly and professionally with partners and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience using Salesforce
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze qualitative data (e.g., survey open responses, interviews, focus groups) and synthesize findings into clear insights and recommendations
  • Strong relationship-building skills with external partners, including comfort presenting data insights in stakeholder-facing settings.
  • Experience with survey platforms (e.g., FormAssembly, Jotform) and ability to quickly learn new data collection technologies
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive data with discretion and professionalism
  • Excellent written communication skills, including clear and concise document and report writing
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Lead data collection across Network members, Pathways Impact Fund grantees and members of the Pathways Impact Collaborative to assess progress and inform supports to drive impact at scale
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to define data needs and goals, implement collection strategies, address challenges and produce high-quality data from large-scale initiatives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, bringing executive presence and clear communication in meetings, presentations, and ongoing partner engagement
  • Strengthen and coordinate data collection processes across teams and stakeholders, managing external consultants to meet quality standards, deadlines, and key milestones
  • Support members and grantees by communicating the value of data and advising on collection methods and use
  • Design and oversee data collection communications and resources, including webinars and materials specific to the Theory of Action [https://www.strivetogether.org/what-we-do/theory-of-action/]
  • Conduct qualitative analysis of individual narratives across all stakeholder groups (Network members, Pathways Impact Fund grantees, Pathways Impact Collaborative) and generate insights across stakeholder groups
  • Design, implement, and facilitate data capability trainings for internal and external stakeholders to promote effective data interpretation and use
  • Develop written reports and other deliverables, identifying key insights for broader sharing and actionable recommendations for specific stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement; solicit and act on stakeholder feedback regarding data collection processes and experience
  • Present findings to external leadership, internal leadership, funders and team
  • Support organizational internal- and external-facing survey strategy
  • Support survey design process while gathering feedback from cross-functional team members for bi-annual Network survey, Convening survey, and other ad hoc surveys
  • Summarize survey findings, support team in the development of appropriate and actionable recommendations, and present findings to executives
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in staff meetings, organizational trainings, cross-functional teams and interview processes.
