About The Position

L3Harris has a position open for a Contracts Specialist. This individual must effectively develop both oral and written communication with the internal and external customer and must effectively perform the following: Ability to interpret and implement company programs, policies, and procedures; Must be able to understand contract structures and types (i.e. FFP, CPFF, CPAF, FPIF, T&M) and differentiate between levels of risk associated with these structures; Ability to review all assigned proposals and bids to ensure the most beneficial terms and conditions, including terms of payment, and profit achieved; Must be able to support cross functional network; Participate, as necessary, in meetings to provide internal and external customer with current status and to ensure understanding of contractual commitments and/or issues; Required to also assist in collection of over-aged payments; Perform contract close-out; Demonstrate a basic understanding of business agreements (i.e. teaming agreement, non-disclosure agreement or proprietary agreement, and if/when an export license is needed; Identify contract issues in program performance, implements solutions and carries to completion while exercising good judgment with minimal supervision; This individual must maintain customer relationships based on professionalism, responsiveness and ethical conduct.

Requirements

  • B.S. / B.A. Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management, Contract Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business Law, or other applicable field.
  • Knowledge of FAR, DFAR, ITAR, etc. and/or equivalent government regulations based on experience.
  • Must be skilled in the arts of communication, analysis, negotiations, evaluation and presentations, including respectful and professional behavior demonstrated at all times.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & Powerpoint.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
