About The Position

As a Specialist III, Environmental, you will support safe, compliant, and efficient operations by coordinating environmental assessments, guiding compliance efforts, and helping the organization meet regulatory and operational expectations. You will use your experience to interpret requirements, support decision-making, and contribute to responsible operations.

Requirements

  • 3 or more years of environmental experience
  • Must be willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to comply with the following:
  • Travel up to 5%
  • Work extended hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, and perform occasional on-call duties
  • Transport articles up to 50 pounds
  • Climb ladders and stairs up to 200 feet
  • Work safely near large, hot, high-speed machines, around chemicals and hydrocarbons under high pressure and heat, and in harsh weather conditions
  • Wear fire retardant clothing and personal protective equipment
  • Maintain face daily for proper respirator/face mask seal (some examples include being free of facial hair and/or clean shaven)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Science, or Environmental discipline
  • Experience developing or managing compliance software and reporting systems
  • Experience managing audit assignments and supporting regulatory negotiations
  • Strong communication, presentation, and data analysis skills
  • Experience coordinating field assessments and supporting compliance activities
  • Experience collecting and analyzing environmental data

Responsibilities

  • Partner with operations, maintenance, and project teams to coordinate and conduct field assessments, ensuring activities follow health, safety, and environmental policies and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain environmental compliance tools, procedures, and controls to support reliable air, water, waste, and natural resources programs.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret environmental data; prepare calculations, metrics, and reports to support continuous improvement.
  • Prepare and review environmental permits, plans, reports, and regulatory correspondence, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Monitor new regulations, assess impacts to projects and programs, and support necessary changes and permitting strategies.
  • Participate in audits and inspections, track corrective actions, and help ensure compliance issues do not recur.
  • Provide guidance and training on regulatory and compliance requirements and support incident investigations and emergency response.
