About The Position

Pagosa Springs Medical Center (PSMC) is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Health Informatics Specialist to support clinical and revenue cycle users of the Oracle Health (Cerner) Electronic Health Record (EHR). This position partners with Department Directors and Managers to improve workflow efficiency, perform system testing and validation, support reporting and analytics, and assist end users with technical troubleshooting. The Specialist also supports patient portal access, manages Oracle Health service requests, and provides access and support for Contexture’s Patient Care 360 Health Information Exchange (HIE). This role plays a key part in maintaining data integrity, optimizing workflows, and supporting patient safety across the organization. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in healthcare administration, computer science, business administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of healthcare experience required
  • Demonstrated advanced experience with electronic health record systems required
  • Current AHA BLS (Heart Saver) certification required
  • Strong data collection, analysis, and interpretation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a Cerner (Oracle) Community Works end user strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support for Oracle Health (Cerner) EHR users
  • Collaborate with department leaders to improve clinical and revenue cycle workflows
  • Perform system testing and validation for upgrades, enhancements, and new workflows
  • Submit and manage Oracle Health service requests and monitor Community updates
  • Communicate system-wide issues and resolutions to end users
  • Assist patients with establishing and troubleshooting patient portal accounts
  • Manage user access, permissions, and support onboarding/offboarding processes
  • Provide and support access to Contexture’s Patient Care 360 HIE
  • Run, validate, troubleshoot, and analyze clinical and revenue cycle reports
  • Assist end users in exporting and scheduling reports
  • Support data validation and performance improvement initiatives
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and promote patient safety in all system activities
