About The Position

Specialist I - Materials Management Position Summary: Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, core hours 8am-5pm 100% on-site (Madison, WI) Catalent, Inc. is a leading global Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO). Located in Madison, WI, this facility features advanced mammalian cell line engineering and biomanufacturing capabilities using single-use systems to support scalable production. This 263,000 sq. ft. Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) facility offers integrated formulation and analytical services to address complex development challenges in Biologics. The Materials Management department is responsible for warehouse management, inventory control, work order management, incoming receipts, and domestic and international shipments of all items for Madison. This department follows approved materials SOPs for the Madison site. The Materials Management Team supports other departments in all materials needs, including staging materials for manufacturing. The Specialist I - Materials Management position will support each of these department functions as a key member.

Requirements

  • Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Wisconsin driver's license is required. Must be able to operate a company owned transport vehicle as requested
  • Must have at least one (1) year of relevant work experience in a shipping, material operation’s environment; three (3) or more years of experience preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with JD Edwards (ERP), Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams highly preferred
  • Prior experience operating warehouse equipment (handheld scanners, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) is preferred
  • Prior pharmaceutical or food manufacturing/processing, & cGMP experience, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Using FEFO (First Expiry First Out) basis, pick, stock, verify, identify inventory, or deliver materials
  • Management of all work orders which includes printing, timely picking and staging of all materials, issuing materials to and closing work orders upon completion
  • Support Lab materials replenishment
  • Support Freezer/Cooler preventative maintenance (PM’s) as needed
  • Communicate, maintain, and resolve any Purchase Order (PO) related issues within a timely manner
  • Ability to complete inventory cycle count activities as requested
  • Ensure all delivery vehicles and forklifts are unloaded properly and material is inspected per procedure and completing the Logbook entry
  • Work with Materials Management employees to ensure the proper paperwork accompanies each shipment between buildings
  • Other duties as assigned
