About The Position

BASIC FUNCTIONS Identify trends, periodically analyze equipment/machine problems, perform necessary adjustments on manufacturing equipment, identify root causes and initiate corrective actions. Our team of manufacturing maintenance technicians act as leaders for maintain assembly and machining equipment. It is our job to make sure the equipment keeps running. This role will use various measuring, testing, and software tools to troubleshoot, modify, and repair mechanical linear systems, electrical linear systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, robots, presses, PLCs, cameras, scanners, etc..

Requirements

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years or older
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with supervision and other personnel with the ability to create clear technical instructions
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Must be able to function in a noisy and fast paced environment
  • Demonstrates self-initiative
  • Minimum two years of experience in manufacturing or machining
  • Basic knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, print-reading and mechanics
  • Must demonstrate mechanical proficiency, leadership ability, and teamwork
  • Must be willing to work on alternate shifts and must demonstrate the ability to adapt to changes
  • Must be flexible to work other shifts for training, coaching, projects and travel as needed
  • Job scope will require an emphasis on electrical / controls topics, but candidate must have an understanding in both mechanical and electrical systems (mechatronics). Electrical and mechanical work will be required.
  • Understands control systems and is able to connect to and troubleshoot PLC programs.
  • Detailed knowledge of Staubli and Omron robots, vision systems, Trumpf lasers, and Profibus is a requirement.
  • Knowledge of SAP work order/spare parts system is also a requirement.

Nice To Haves

  • Programming experience is a plus. Siemens and Allen Bradley experience is also a plus as well as OpCon experience.
  • Familiarity with CNC machines (drives, axes, etc.).
  • Knowledge of heat treat or chroming operations is also a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate efforts between operations and engineering functions
  • Set up spare parts, optimize PMs, keep process parameters updated
  • Identify best practices and create standards combining available information & knowledge.
  • Follow plant safety and environmental policies, and keep work areas clean and orderly
  • Utilize plant systems e.g. SAP, MES, OPCON, Promaster, tableau, etc.
  • Utilize IPN resources where necessary

  • Starting hourly rate for this position is $32.20 based on experience. Potential to earn up to $40.82 as your skills and contribution grow.
