About The Position

Under supervision of the Technical Leader, the E.O is responsible for custom coating technical activities. The employee will coat or spray parts, perform quality inspections, perform equipment / preventive maintenance, add powders and chemicals and housekeeping. Communication and attendance are critical for this position. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty exceptionally (accurately, organized, and timely). An E.O must be customer focused, have a positive attitude, and willing to work overtime if required. This position requires someone that must be organized and able to multi-task effectively. They must also express a passionate interest in continual improvement in themselves and the business processes in which they are responsible.

Requirements

  • HS degree or HS equivalency diploma is recommended.
  • Problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
  • Work with limited supervision
  • Willing to work necessary overtime and on any shift.
  • Lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Certified in confined spaces, fall protection and other required safety training or achieve certification in such training.
  • Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
  • Acceptable disciplinary performance – Employees who have received a written warning (first or second) are not eligible for promotions or transfers for a minimum of six months after receiving that warning.
  • Acceptable attendance performance - Employees who have six or more points are not eligible for promotions or transfers.
  • The individual should have the ability to read and interpret documents like safety rules, Delta specifications, Standard Work Instructions, job instruction documents, and aspects of Delta’s MOS (Masco Operating System), SFM (Shop Floor Management) system, QMS (Quality Management System) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.
  • The individual must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and decimals.
  • The individual must have the ability to apply reason and understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form. The person must be able to understand basic reports and daily business requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Coat or spray parts
  • Racking / unracking parts when necessary
  • Plugging / unplugging parts when necessary
  • Perform parts inspection and make quality decisions.
  • Start up and shut down coating line / machines.
  • Measuring and mixing; make powder and chemical adds.
  • Perform TruChem testing and analysis.
  • Perform equipment and preventive maintenance; machine trouble shooting.
  • Work in confined spaces at times
  • Report-out technical information
  • Problem Solving using continuous improvement tools.
  • Generate ideas and solutions.
  • Work safely while performing job duties.
  • Complete hazard observations, observe unsafe actions, and report both using Delta Faucet procedures.
  • Perform housekeeping duties consistent with 5S and visual workplace standards.
  • Perform ERGO stretches.
  • Accept / Reject parts to DS-500 specifications.
