About The Position

A Child’s Place at Unity House is seeking full-time CFY Speech-Language Pathologists to join our early childhood program. This is a great opportunity for new graduates to complete their Clinical Fellowship Year in a supportive, team-based environment. Sign-On Bonus $5,000 for eligible candidates CFY candidates that complete their required one-year supervised rotation are eligible for an additional $5,000 sign on bonus, if continued employment at A Child’s Place! Unity House is a Rensselaer County-based human service agency that provides a wide range of services to meet the otherwise unmet needs of people in our community who are hurting and struggling. We assist those who are living in poverty, adults living with mental illness or HIV/AIDS, victims of domestic violence, and children with developmental delays. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills
  • Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Pediatric experience or internship (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat children ages 6 weeks to 5 years
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
  • Use creative, play-based and theme-based activities to engage children
  • Provide services in: Daycare centers and preschools Client homes Special education settings
  • Maintain accurate documentation and timely reports
  • Collaborate with a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and multidisciplinary team
  • Support a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
