About The Position

Speech-Language Pathologist or SLP Assistant Qualifications: Applicants must hold or be eligible for a MO-Board of Healing Arts certification in the area of Speech-Language Pathology. A Masters's in Speech-Language Pathology for SLP or a bachelor's in Communication Sciences and Disorders for SLP-A. The Marshfield R-1 is a 4 day school week and certified staff works an additional 2 Mondays each month. Primary Tasks: Meet the standards in knowledge and competence in the communication areas of language, articulation/phonology, voice and fluency. Meet standards in knowledge and competence of the comprehensive speech and language evaluation process and also in generating educationally relative goals and objectives based on the communication needs of the individuals. Test and identify those students who are in need of speech/language services. Diagnose specific speech/language disorders. Schedule and conduct therapy for the students who require services. Plan and carry out the IEP as part of the transdisciplinary team. Consult with students, parents, and professionals concerning progress in speech/language services. Keep records, write reports, concerning the student's speech/language behavior. Attend and or conduct eligibility reviews and IEP meetings. Complete IEP paperwork for students. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Services.
