About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 13-week contract assignment in an acute care hospital setting . This position is ideal for a clinician who excels in fast-paced environments and has strong experience working with adult and geriatric populations . The role focuses heavily on dysphagia management and neurogenic communication disorders .

Requirements

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience required; 5 years preferred
• Prior experience in an acute care or community hospital setting strongly preferred
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Active Rhode Island SLP license
• Dysphagia management
• CVA rehabilitation
• Neurogenic communication disorders

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive clinical evaluations, including bedside swallow assessments
• Evaluate and treat patients with CVA, dysarthria, and oral motor disorders
• Develop, implement, and reassess individualized Plans of Care (POC)
• Recommend and apply appropriate diet modifications and compensatory strategies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for care coordination and discharge planning
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
