About The Position

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Speech-Language Pathologist - School Based for an exciting Travel or Local job in Colorado Springs, CO.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Active State License to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA or CFY eligible.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology principles and evidence-based practices.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 1 year of clinical or school-based experience preferred.
• Experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, or skilled nursing facilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognition, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and IEP goals.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy to improve communication skills and functional outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and reports.
• Collaborate with educators, psychologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other school staff.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to care planning discussions.
• Educate families and caregivers regarding therapy goals, progress, and home strategies.
• Support and implement augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems as appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, district policies, and professional standards.
• Participate in staff meetings, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervising administrator.
