Full-Time Speech and Language Pathologist – Sunnyview Rehabilitation Outpatient Sunnyview Rehab Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and energetic candidate to join our team as a Full-Time Speech and Language Pathologist! What you will do: As a Speech and Language Pathologist you are responsible for direct patient care. Integrate elements of patient/client management, examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis and interventions in a manner designed to maximize patient’s functional outcomes.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved Speech Pathology Therapy program with a Master’s degree
- Current NYS Speech Pathologist license and registration
- Must have completed Clinical Fellowship year
- Certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association
Responsibilities
- Formulates comprehensive treatment program by evaluating patients with cognitive linguistic disorders, communication disorders, dysphagia/swallowing disorders and voice/respiratory disorders.
- Identify and refer patients for related services (audiology, vocational, medical as appropriate).
- Assess patient's rehab needs through the continuum of care and provides appropriate disposition, equipment, education and treatment recommendations.
- Completes all documentation in accordance with professional, organizational, regulatory and facility's compliance standards.
- Participates in initiatives that may include brainstorming or other activities to assist in improving quality or care, productivity, policies and standards.
