About The Position

SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST School Year 2026-2027 Assignments and Locations to be determined Montgomery County Public Schools n Virginia is now accepting applications for speech/language pathologist positions that may become available within our division for the 2026 – 2027 school year. Please note this is a "continuous recruit posting" to build an applicant pool for all schools. As positions become available, all qualified applicants with complete application files will be considered. Should a specific location/job be posted, you may also be required to apply to that posting.

Requirements

• Hold a master’s degree in Speech/Language, Speech Pathology, or Communication Disorder
• Hold or be eligible for an active license with a valid endorsement in speech language pathology issued by the Board of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (BASLP)
• Possess a professional understanding of speech/language disorders
• Possess thorough knowledge and ability to administer appropriate speech/language tests and support materials
• Demonstrate ability to support students by cooperatively working with parents/guardians and teachers
• Utilize Google Drive for instructional purposes, collaboration, and managing coursework
• Create and maintain an inclusive, supportive learning environment that respects the diverse backgrounds and needs of all students
• Communicate effectively with strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to a positive team environment
• Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and reliability in fulfilling responsibilities

Nice To Haves

• Have experience working with students with disabilities in preschool through high school
• Have experience delivering speech therapy services within an inclusive environment
