In Short: The Splitter Operator is responsible for setting up and operating a splitting machine to split stone slabs and strips into full veneer product according to work order specifications.

Requirements

Ability to read a tape measure
Ability to lift objects weighing between 50-100 pounds
Dependable
Ability to perform repetitive tasks

Ability to adapt to varying work environments
Ability to work independently and as a team

Nice To Haves

Ability to operate a skid steer or front end loader a plus

Responsibilities

Participate in mandatory stretching exercise
Receive direction and work orders from supervisor
Verify that tools and equipment are in proper working conditions
Follow all safety regulations
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Perform routine daily maintenance of equipment
Continually feed splitter by positioning stone on conveyor to obtain proper cuts
Perform stone splitting process according to work order specifications
Understand and maintain quality standards
Understand conveyor safety and proper operation
Produce finished product for packaging and chunks for NTV saws
Complete necessary paperwork
Other duties as assigned
