Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
2+ years’ experience in Spot Welding preferred
Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with the leadership team
Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to the mission
Flexible and able to multi-task; can work with an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems
Bend and lift, loading and unloading work pieces into the machine, and move from one workstation to another, alternately sitting and standing

Responsibilities

Use Spot Welding equipment; apply two shaped copper alloy electrodes to concentrate welding current into a small "spot" and to simultaneously clamp the sheets together. Force a large current through the spot to melt the metal and form the weld.
Install proper electrodes on the spot-welding machine.
Adjusts control for proper heat, pressure settings, and timing of current.
Use the proper amount of heat to match the sheet's material properties, thickness, and type of electrodes.
Work from routings, prints, or instructions.
Inspect work using a micrometer, caliper, and precision measuring instruments.
Examines welded components for any defects.
Deliver the first piece to inspection for verification of dimensions and weld accuracy.
Responsible for producing the highest level of quality, utilizing control plans, customer drawings, and appropriate work instructions.
Supervising and identifying any fault in operating the equipment or in relation to any material or equipment, then notifying the supervisors
