About The Position

The SPS Manager serves major donors, legacy givers and ICA member mission offices. This position also serves as assistant to the Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer, as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business OR unrelated another field with relevant work experience
  • 4+ years of experience
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in a Windows environment, Microsoft Suite, and Adobe Pro.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, analytical aptitude, ability to organize work, set priorities and deadlines, and be an effective team member.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to plan, initiate and complete work assignments with minimum direction.
  • Must live in the area and work at VOM’s headquarters in Bartlesville.
  • Discreet and careful communication with respect to keeping VOM work- and personnel-related information confidential. Donor PII and PCI confidentiality and compliance is required.
  • Must be a biblical disciple.
  • Must participate in the spiritual life of the organization.
  • Agree with and adhere to the VOM Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with professionals, including attorneys, executors, financial planners, investment brokers, foundations, etc. regarding charitable gifts.
  • Create positive legacy donor relations through effective written and oral communication, preparing internal and external communications on charitable annuities, life insurance, wills and bequests.
  • Ensure that back-office staff serve donors well by regularly reviewing activity reports and occasionally checking in with donors directly to see if we are meeting their needs.
  • Effectively handle and process estate gifts and annuities to ensure appropriate stewardship and legacy gift closure.
  • Facilitate and document stock and other non-cash gifts.
  • ICA responsibilities, including portal administrator and various accounting and communication functions.
  • Executive assistant responsibilities include divisional reviews of mailings, state registrations, taking minutes, and liaison for commercial insurance.
