About The Position

We are seeking a skilled SQL Database Administrator (DBA) with a strong background in programming to manage and optimize our database systems, ensure data integrity, and contribute to application development. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, implementing, and maintaining databases while supporting development teams with SQL and programming expertise.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college; and
Minimum two (2) to four (4) years of experience in the SQL DBA or in a related role.
Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Ubuntu or its variant.
Proficiency with C# programming language.

Responsibilities

Manage, monitor, and maintain SQL databases to ensure high availability and performance.
Implement and oversee backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans.
Optimize database performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and resolve issues.
Design and implement database schemas, tables, and indexing strategies.
Write efficient and optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
Collaborate with development teams to design and integrate databases into applications.
Automate database-related tasks using programming languages (e.g., PowerShell, or C#).
Implement database security measures, including role-based access control and encryption.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and analysts.
Create and maintain documentation for database systems, configurations, and processes.
