About The Position

The Database Administrator ensures the performance, reliability, and security of SQL Server environments, supporting both on-premises and cloud-based systems. Working within a small, globally distributed team, the role requires a proactive and autonomous approach to managing database operations, supporting development teams, and contributing to strategic projects such as data warehouse setup and cloud migration. As Azure migration will progress, your role will shift from on-premises DBA to full Azure DBA. If you think the open position you see is right for you, we encourage you to apply! Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• At least 6 years of SQL Server DBA experience
• Hands-on experience with database monitoring and maintenance operations
• Knowledge on SQL Always on / windows clustering
• Deep knowledge in T-SQL coding and query fine-tuning
• Server and database optimization
• Highly motivated and committed team player with strong sense of autonomy
• Databases assessment and migration to Azure
• Azure database and managed instance administration
• Good level of English, written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Monitor the production databases clusters in order to identify bottlenecks, perform maintenance operations, and optimize inefficient queries.
• Work closely with the development team to provide development environments, take part in the development process by reviewing queries in order to validate code prior to release to production, and promote coding best practices.
• Take part in different projects like the setup of a new data warehouse, Master Data Management and server consolidation.
• Take part to the assessment and migration of on-premises servers, develop Azure data factory and take part of Azure data platform administration
