Summary: Manage and coordinate activities and projects related to assigned account(s). Supervise employees assisting on the account(s). Identify growth opportunities, and adjust strategies based on market trends and client data. Work together to achieve account objectives with a focus on results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in distribution/logistics administration or operations.
  • Experience in over the road inbound and outbound transportation administration or operations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management staff, employees, and service providers.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and proven experience of relationship management through business change and growth.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Extremely proficient with MS Office programs and strong overall system skills (YMS, TMS, WMS).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the key point of contact with the customer.
  • Focus the sales effort around identifying and fulfilling customer's current and future needs.
  • Help identify opportunities where Performance Team services fit the customer's ongoing business strategy.
  • Speaks with customers by phone or in person and receives instructions for shipment, storing, delivery, or general processing.
  • Coordinates with warehouse personnel to oversee incoming and outgoing account activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments.
  • Complies with records of orders, adjusts errors and resolves complaints.
  • Projects changes in account activity and plans labor requirements accordingly.
  • Submits written and/or verbal reports on activity and projected labor expenses.
  • Other duties as assigned.
