Maintains and reconciles general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounts. Prepares financial statements and reports. Maintains and develops automated accounting systems, controls, and procedures. Prepares and develops reports for management and/or for regulatory authorities. Responds to inquiries regarding accounting policies, procedures, and issues from management, external auditors, and regulatory authorities. Delivers clean reconciliations and journals with strong supporting documentation Uses core systems effectively; reduces manual work through templates or queries Self-reviews work, flags issues early, and follows through to resolution Standardizes recurring analyses and closes gaps through small-scale automation Builds draft policy/job aids that improve consistency and onboarding Acts as a go-to resource for complex accounts or processes and coaches peers This role offers the opportunity to expand leadership capabilities over time, including guiding teammates, championing best practices, and potentially stepping into formal people management responsibilities as the department evolves.
