About The Position

Senior Advanced Software Engineer for Honeywell International, Inc. (Richmond, VA). The position involves developing and testing software as part of an Agile team for Tridium's Niagara Framework. The role requires participation in the full software development lifecycle, from idea conception to release and maintenance. The engineer will collaborate with other system and software architects on the architecture and design of internal system and processes applications, review design and development of Niagara modules, and work with sales and marketing teams to define Niagara features. Additionally, the engineer will handle support inquiries escalated from the technical support group and test new features and enhancements before the release of software for product validation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 8 years of professional experience as a software engineer.
• 5 years of experience in Java development.
• 5 years of experience in Niagara Framework development.
• 5 years of experience in Object/Component Oriented Design Techniques.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards and protocols like BACnet, OPC-UA, Modbus, SNMP, MQTT, AMQP.
