About The Position

As a systems engineer for General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) Unmanned Systems and Future Combatants (UFC) line of business, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for identifying, analyzing, and resolving system design weaknesses, developing system security documentation, and providing system accreditation/certification evaluation and test support for Virtual Ship® military simulator product line. The role supports the generation of technical engineering products throughout the system development life cycle and influences the shaping of future products by contributing to the framework used across multiple products or systems. Very strong understanding and application of systems engineering principles, concepts, and theories. Very strong use of tools for managing requirements and modeling systems. Skilled in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions effectively. Understanding and application of project leadership principles including SPI/CPI, Earned Value, Cost Account Management (CAM), and Statistical Process Controls. Requirements

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience.
Agile experience preferred.
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire.
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
