About The Position

Diné Source is seeking a Sr. Advisor, MBSE to support the Resilient Missile Warning and Missile Tracking Ground Management and Integration (GMI) program under Space Systems Command (SSC). This role provides Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) leadership in the development, integration, and sustainment of a globally distributed ground system supporting space-based missile tracking operations. The position is responsible for establishing and maintaining the technical baseline, ensuring requirements traceability, and supporting system integration across a complex system-of-systems environment. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
  • Active Top Secret clearance required and SCI eligibility required
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in systems engineering within complex, multi-site, mission-critical environments
  • Demonstrated experience supporting integration and test activities for large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience working in system-of-systems architectures with a Government Reference Model
  • Proficiency in MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering lifecycle processes
  • Experience with requirements decomposition, interface control, and verification planning
  • Working knowledge of configuration management and cybersecurity compliance practices

Responsibilities

  • The Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) role involves developing and maintaining MBSE artifacts such as block definition diagrams, internal block diagrams, activity diagrams, and sequence diagrams to support system design and integration.
  • Using MBSE methodologies, the engineer translates product development strategies into formal, testable system requirements while ensuring technical baseline integrity and requirements traceability.
  • Responsibilities include defining and managing system interfaces across distributed ground elements, supporting configuration management and change control processes, and participating in hardware and software design reviews to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • The engineer develops system-level verification procedures, customer acceptance criteria, and validates test plans to align with contractual objectives.
  • Additionally, the role involves supporting integration across multiple vendors within a system-of-systems environment, assessing system performance using technical performance measures, documenting architectural decisions, and identifying and mitigating technical risks associated with integration and increment delivery.
  • Program-specific responsibilities include supporting the development and sustainment of the Medium Earth Orbit Satellite Operations Center (MSOC), Backup MSOC (BMSOC), and Ground Entry Points (GEPs), contributing to capability increment execution aligned with space vehicle testing, launch, and operational timelines, and coordinating technical integration across government and contractor stakeholders.
