Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, MIS, Information Technology, or relevant field of study required
  • 4+ years of experience in IT Budgeting/Forecasting
  • Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to interface effectively with individuals at various levels
  • Self-motivated with the discipline to work successfully both independently and within a team
  • Ability to prioritize and remain organized in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical with strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy
  • Experience with enterprise solutions related to FinOps and IT Finance, including Oracle Financials, Apptio, Cloudability, and ServiceNow
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and Word
  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties
  • Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures, and rules governing professional staff behavior
  • Regular in-office attendance is required.

Nice To Haves

  • FinOps Certified Practitioner certification preferred
  • Information Technology and/or Project Management experience preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in FinOps (Financial Operations), cloud financial management, IT Finance or a similar role

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage IT Operational Budgets and Forecasts
  • Prepare and present the monthly variance analysis for the IT Operational Budgets
  • Partner with IT Leadership to provide input into TCO that assists with project management and decision-making
  • Review Requisitions and Purchase Orders for correct accounting coding
  • Collaborate with Accounting to manage correct amortization, accounts, and department distribution
  • Review monthly accounting schedules and ensure accuracy
  • Prepare monthly accruals
  • Partner with IT stakeholders to process Pubic Cloud and Managed Services Invoices
  • Drive cloud and SaaS cost optimization initiatives across cloud platforms and key SaaS tools
  • Guide strategy with support renewals and commitments with consumption forecasts and optimization roadmaps
  • Establish governance, KPIs, and cadences that make cost and usage data visible and actionable across teams
  • Support continuous quality and service improvements to drive efficient business operations
  • Develop a thorough understanding of policies, procedures, and safety rules
  • Duties may change; team members may be required to perform other duties as assigned
