Position Overview The Sr. Analyst, REWS Data Services, ensures Exact Sciences’ Real Estate and Workplace systems data is accurate, well-governed, and optimized for enterprise decision-making. Partnering with REWS and enterprise stakeholders, this role blends data engineering, governance, and analytics to manage metadata integrity, improve data quality, and streamline information workflows across applications and business domains. The analyst transforms complex data into clear, actionable insights that strengthen operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and a culture of data-driven excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to essential duties; or Associates Degree and 2 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 4 years of relevant experience.
  • 5 years of experience developing business intelligence solutions and designing ETL/ELT data pipelines in partnership with analytics or data science teams.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Proficiency with distributed data processing or integration tools (e.g., PowerApps, Spark, Kafka, Flink, Beam).
  • Advanced proficiency in BI and data visualization platforms (e.g., Cognos, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science or Information Systems.
  • Experience working with data systems and analytics in the life sciences, healthcare, or related regulated industry.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, data engineering, or related technical roles.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting or integrating business applications such as CMMS, EAM, ERP, WMS, CAFM systems or similar.
  • 2+ years of experience in technical writing or documentation following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance the Enterprise Data Catalog for assigned applications, domains, assets, attributes, KPIs, and metadata to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability.
  • Apply and enforce data governance principles to maintain reliable, complete, and standardized metadata across enterprise systems.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned data domains, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to data and application teams.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, FDA, ISO) and internal data classification and security requirements.
  • Conduct technical data profiling, validation, and quality checks to verify data integrity, lineage, and completeness across multiple sources.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define and implement metadata standards, workflows, and data governance policies.
  • Administer assigned applications in a primary or backup capacity, supporting configuration, integration, and documentation of data workflows.
  • Utilize tools such as Databricks, Power Automate, Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, Swagger, APIs, Postman, and SQL to manage data pipelines, catalogs, and analytics assets.
  • Partner with application owners and business units to gather requirements, drive automation, and deliver technology enhancements to improve data operations.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, training materials, and technical documentation to support adoption of data governance and analytics best practices.
  • Provide user support, troubleshoot issues, and monitor system usage to ensure stable operations and drive continuous improvement.
  • Build strong relationships across business and IT teams, translating complex technical concepts into actionable insights aligned with enterprise goals.
  • Apply analytical thinking and curiosity to identify data issues, propose solutions, and improve enterprise data quality and reliability.
  • Demonstrate accountability, adaptability, and innovation in managing data assets and supporting governance initiatives within a dynamic, matrixed environment.
  • Develop a working knowledge of the Real Estate portfolio, project management principles, and facilities operations to contextualize data insights for the REWS organization.

  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

  • Ability to use a telephone through a headset.
  • Ability to work seated for approximately 75% of a typical working day.
  • Ability to work standing for approximately 25% of a typical working day.
  • Ability to comply with any applicable personal protective equipment requirements.
  • Ability to travel 5% of working time away from work location. May include overnight/weekend travel.
