Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology or engineering field
- 2-3+ years of experience working in a Chemical laboratory is preferred
- Ability to gather, understand, and interpret chemical, physical, and mechanical data
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other team members in product development programs
- Solid interpersonal skills. Candidate must be able to work as a team member and independently on multi-task assignments
- Knowledgeable in Power Point, Word & Excel. Familiarity with Statistical Analysis Software is preferred
- Availability to work different shifts if needed
- Ability to work in a chemical lab environment and with lab equipment and computers
- Able to carry out laboratory activities
- Frequently sit, view a computer screen, and type on a keyboard for extended periods of times
- Strong verbal communication skills one-on-one with colleagues/customers as well as in front of groups
- Uses good scientific judgment, statistical analysis, root cause identification and robust solution implementation
- Occasionally may be required to reach, squat, bend and lift up to 25 lbs
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with Statistical Analysis Software is preferred
Responsibilities
- Conducts all laboratory work in a safe manner including the use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), adherence to site safety practices, use of laboratory equipment, 5S, etc.
- Executes lab testing and methods and reports results according to accepted company lab practices; results, reports and observations will be communicated to internal/external customers
- Communicates observations regarding testing, data and/or experimental outcome
- Employs problem-solving skillsets to overcome project bottlenecks and maintain project deliverable dates
- Programming of robots, comfortable with a variety of curing and dispensing equipment
- May train other technicians regarding equipment operation and/or test procedures
- Takes on equipment ownership and is responsible for maintaining the safe operation of the assigned equipment
- Understanding of mathematical and statistical techniques relevant to adhesive product testing
