Where You’ll Make a Difference Lead the daily operations of the Animal Nutrition & Health Application Laboratory in Cedar Rapids, ensuring high‑quality execution of analytical work. Implement and support the global application strategy across North America, with a focus on in‑feed enzyme assays and raw material analysis. Maintain alignment with global quality standards, documentation practices, and laboratory best‑in‑class processes. Collaborate closely with global application laboratories to share insights, harmonize methods, and strengthen consistency in service delivery. Oversee method development, optimization, and troubleshooting of enzyme assays and related analytical techniques. Provide technical leadership to ensure accurate, reliable, and timely laboratory results for internal stakeholders and external customers. Partner with the Global Application Manager, Regional Technical Services Director, and Regional Industry Lead to resolve technical challenges and support commercial initiatives. Deliver customer service support by addressing client inquiries, providing technical explanations, and presenting new laboratory capabilities. Independently execute laboratory analyses in support of the North American (NAM) business, delivering reliable data to support customer requests, commercial activities, and technical decision‑making

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Animal Science, Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
  • 5+ years of experience in analytical laboratory environments, preferably within animal nutrition, feed, or enzyme applications.
  • Strong understanding of enzyme assay methodologies, raw material analysis, and associated laboratory instrumentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret analytical data and translate findings into meaningful technical insights.
  • Experience working within global quality frameworks and following standardized laboratory procedures.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to diagnose technical issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with customers, commercial teams, and global technical colleagues.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading laboratory teams or overseeing lab operations.
  • Prior exposure to the feed, premix, or enzyme industry in a commercial or customer‑facing capacity.
  • Familiarity with global technical networks or cross‑regional project collaboration.
