About The Position

The Sr Associate, Compensation will have a focus on exceptional service delivery to multiple Blackstone Real Estate Portfolio Companies. This role will serve as a consultant and subject matter expert for internal and external partners across base & variable pay, compensation structure design, and FLSA classification and compliance. The Sr Associate, Compensation will manage and administer Portfolio Company annual compensation cycles while supporting the team in overall pay planning project management, design, and reporting. This role will also support the AVP in LTI & executive compensation plan management while serving as a mentor and lead to early career team members. The ideal candidate is consultative, collaborative, detail-oriented, analytical, and resourceful.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of broad-based compensation experience, including experience in base pay, incentive plans and variable pay components, plans, programs, administration.
  • Experience with implementing and maintaining compensation tools and software.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including team members, management, and external parties.
  • Focus on providing best client experience.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to be flexible in fast-paced, changing environments
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Basic knowledge of applicable state and federal employment and labor laws in relation to pay practices
  • Must be discrete and maintain the highest confidentiality with extremely sensitive data
  • Candidate should have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within Human Resources including compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, I/O Psychology, or a related field is required.

  • Master’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the People & Culture Business Partner(s) and Talent Acquisition to identify compensation strategy and structure for maintenance and novel job requests.
  • Ensures the compensation structure enhances the organization's ability to recruit and retain employees through salary survey submission, benchmarking, and career progression.
  • Consult and provide meaningful insight to Portfolio Companies when balancing standardization for scalability and customization for Portfolio Company needs.
  • Evaluates jobs to analyze market data and determine pay grade profiles.
  • Implements and maintains competitive pay grades, salary ranges. and geographic zones.
  • Manages all Revantage and Portfolio Company compensation salary survey submission projects.
  • Manage and administer Portfolio Company annual compensation cycles while supporting the team in overall pay planning project management, design, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with People Technology, P&C departments, and Portfolio Companies to ensure all compensation technology functionality in Workday is accurate and business needs are supported.
  • Supports the onboarding of new portfolio companies by analyzing their current compensation structure and aligning it with our pay for performance philosophy
  • Track and respond to day-to-day Workday help cases.
  • Ensure timely and accurate responses to inquiries in the compensation mailbox.
  • May perform a variety of P&C administrative tasks including corporate compensation plans and programs
