SUMMARY: Performs complex, routine and non-routine repairs, checks and installations of all Avionics systems on aircraft while working under limited supervision.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5 years recent relevant related avionics experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience/training.

Nice To Haves

  • Airframe and/or Airframe & Powerplant license is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Strong in wiring, routing, termination, and testing
  • Strong understanding of Airbus ESPM
  • Ability to read and execute Engineering Orders (Eos) cleanly
  • Troubleshooting capability
  • Able to access and restore work area
  • Within budgeted or estimated time, repair, modify, install, and perform routine and non-routine maintenance of all Avionics systems with a high degree of proficiency and with minimal assistance.
  • Accurately interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, system schematics, drawings, engineering orders and other documents from both the customer and ATS to determine feasibility and method of repair, replacement or modification.
  • Using detailed knowledge of the aircraft systems and their operation, apply deductive concepts to troubleshoot and isolate defective components.
  • Assist Leads with planning, productions, and quality assurance of assigned projects.
  • Assist with the training and development of Technicians.
  • Properly utilize Avionics test equipment to perform systems test and keep abreast of new and advanced test equipment and the use of such equipment.
  • Properly utilized and maintain Avionics hand tools to perform repairs and installations.
  • Operate ground support equipment e.g. power carts, Hi-Reach, etc. as required.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
