We are seeking an experienced professional with a proven track record for budget and headcount management along with a passion for improving team operations and communications. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 4+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Master's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 6+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Director of Strategy & Operations, you will partner with design managers, the Design Operations team, and the Chief of Staff community to develop and carry out business plans, while also helping to manage the team's rhythm of business (ROB).
  • You’ll also ensure continuous internal business operations in both normal and adverse conditions.
  • You will collaborate with stakeholders and teams to execute against business strategy plans while while ensuring alignment across functions.
  • To do this you will need a deep understanding of Microsoft policies and expectations, and an adaptable approach to always be learning and flexing as change happens.
  • You will use your understanding of our team strategy to design annual budgets and manage the budget throughout the year.
  • Relationships with budget owners will be important as you track spending, report progress, and manage risk.
  • It will be expected that you develop a basic understanding of the “why” behind budget strategy and decisions.
  • In partnership with the Director of Strategy & Operations, you will manage headcount processes including tracking attrition and headcount allocation across geos.
  • You will monitor organizational health, respond to team culture issues, and promote cultural initiatives.
  • This will involve planning and executing trainings, tracking polls, and ensuring a healthy compliance scorecard.
  • You will contribute to cross-team projects as needed to meet changing business requirements and manage business needs.
  • These projects may include things like employee recognition programs and key internal events.
