Job Description: Role Overview The Sr. Business Systems Analyst – SAP Finance will play a key role in driving technology-enabled process transformation across Fluence’s global Finance and Accounting functions. Partnering closely with global and regional business teams, this role will design and deliver scalable SAP solutions - leveraging SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and Central Finance - to support operational excellence and enable strategic growth. The successful candidate will bring deep SAP expertise, strong financial process knowledge, and the ability to translate business needs into effective, future-state system capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with a minimum of 10 years of experience supporting SAP FICO.
  • Proven experience delivering at least four full lifecycle implementations of SAP S/4HANA.
  • Deep expertise in SAP Financial and Controlling modules across ECC and S/4HANA, including: FI-CO, Treasury (TR), Project System (PS), Revenue Accounting & Reporting (RAR), Group Reporting
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards, financial processes, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Expertise in centralized finance processes, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury Management, and Asset Accounting.
  • Skilled in business process modeling and process documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues and deliver effective, scalable solutions.

  • Experience working in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Knowledge of Central Finance migration strategies.
  • Familiarity with integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into future-state SAP solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to global corporate and local finance teams during SAP initiatives, including implementations, upgrades, integrations, mergers, and process optimizations.
  • Perform hands-on functional configuration within SAP FI-CO to meet evolving business needs.
  • Design and deliver high-quality SAP solutions through system configuration and, where required, custom development.
  • Lead testing activities, including creation and execution of unit, integration, and user acceptance test plans and scripts.
  • Develop and maintain advanced expertise in SAP/S4HANA Finance modules to inform architectural decisions and continuous system enhancement.
  • Manage and coordinate project tasks, including planning, documentation, and scheduling; may mentor or guide junior team members.
  • Support end-user training and provide post-implementation assistance to ensure successful adoption of new processes and tools.
