About the position

As the Senior Buyer Business Services Americas, you will be the vital link between Procurement and dsm-firmenich Marketing and Business services, part of a team reporting into the Senior Manager Marketing & Communication Services. You are responsible for the sourcing efforts for multiple sites in North America. You'll play a key role in shaping procurement strategies, optimizing supplier performance and ensuring value-driven outcomes in a fast-paced environment. You will cultivate strong supplier partnerships, deliver exceptional value, and enhance our company's reputation. Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders in the region, ensuring smooth coordination and communication.
  • Collaborate with Category Managers to develop and implement local and regional strategies for Indirect procurement.
  • Lead end-to-end procurement processes including supplier selection, negotiations, tendering, contracting, and management for Marketing and Business services and deliver savings.
  • Build and manage supplier relationships to meet operational and financial goals, fostering innovation and sustainable solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, monitor the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process, and drive process efficiency and savings reporting.
  • Manage contracts proactively, including renewals and tenders, while facilitating structured and result-oriented stakeholder communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing and or relevant field, master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of proven expertise in either Marketing communications, procurement or Business services context.
  • Ability to be on-site 2-3 days a week, as required by our hybrid working model.
  • A proven team player mindset-acting as a 'spider in the web' to connect people, processes, and priorities seamlessly.
  • Strategic thinking, creativity, and a collaborative approach to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with a business-savvy, results-oriented attitude and the ability to manage complexity.
  • High resilience and emotional intelligence, with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills to enable effective collaboration across diverse stakeholders; Bilingual a plus.
