About The Position

Shape the future of cybersecurity at Forescout. Every day cyberattacks threaten to disrupt hospitals, power grids, financial systems, and the infrastructure we all depend on. At Forescout, we build defenses that keep civilization running smoothly in an increasingly connected world. For more than 25 years, Fortune 100 organizations, government agencies, and large enterprises have trusted Forescout as their foundation to manage cyber risk, ensure compliance, and mitigate threats. From power grids and healthcare systems to financial networks and transportation hubs, Forescout protects the critical infrastructure of our modern world. (Only US Citizens will be considered for this position.) As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for the operational health of Forescout’s cloud platforms and customer-facing services across both commercial and federal (FedRAMP/FastRAMP) environments. This role combines cloud operations, incident response, and product support. You will work directly with external federal customers as well as internal stakeholders such as Sales, Sales Engineering, and account managers to resolve issues, support deployments, and ensure customer success.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship (required for federal programs).
  • 5+ years of experience in Cloud Operations, Production Support, DevOps, SRE, or Technical Support roles supporting live environments.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Azure-based cloud services in production.
  • Ability and willingness to learn and support SaaS products, not just underlying infrastructure.
  • Experience troubleshooting customer-impacting issues, including working directly with internal or external customers.
  • Familiarity with incident response, ticket-based workflows, and operational handoffs.
  • Solid fundamentals in Linux, containers, and basic networking.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting federal customers or regulated environments (FedRAMP, SOC 2, ISO, etc.).
  • Prior exposure to customer-facing support, escalation management, or technical account support.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes operations, monitoring/alerting systems, and operational tooling.
  • Experience working with Sales, Sales Engineering, or Customer Success teams to support customer deployments or issues.
  • Relevant certifications (Azure Administrator, Azure Architect, ITIL, CKA/CKAD) are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and support Forescout’s Azure-based cloud platforms, ensuring availability, reliability, and performance for multi-tenant SaaS workloads.
  • Perform active monitoring and operational sanity checks using dashboards, alerts, and health signals; analyze trends to determine when action or escalation is required.
  • Respond to production incidents and service requests, following documented runbooks, escalation paths, and compliance requirements.
  • Triage, investigate, and manage operational tickets in Jira, ensuring accurate documentation and handoff between shifts.
  • Execute approved operational actions (manual or automated) in accordance with security, change-control, and compliance constraints.
  • Learn and support Forescout products and services deployed in cloud environments, with an emphasis on federal (FedRAMP) customer deployments.
  • Provide technical product support for external federal customers, including troubleshooting, issue analysis, and coordination with engineering or product teams.
  • Participate in customer-impacting incident resolution, ensuring timely communication, clear status updates, and documented outcomes.
  • Support product-related operational tasks such as tenant health, configuration validation, log visibility issues, and service behavior in production environments.
  • Act as an operational support partner for internal customers, including Sales, Sales Engineering, Customer Success, and account teams.
  • Assist internal teams with cloud-related and product-related requests, investigations, and customer escalations across both commercial and federal environments.
  • Collaborate closely with Cloud Architecture, DevOps, Security, Compliance, Product, and Support teams to resolve issues and improve operational readiness.
  • Contribute to the creation and continuous improvement of runbooks, operational documentation, and support workflows to reduce tribal knowledge and improve consistency.
  • Operate within FedRAMP/FastRAMP boundaries, adhering to access controls, audit requirements, and security procedures.
  • Participate in on-call or after-hours coverage as required to support production workloads and customer-impacting events.
