Primary Purpose PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Assure Exelon Utilities adheres to North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and Reliability First Corporation (RFC) compliance requirements. Prepare reviews and reports of compliance. Assure that Exelon Utility activities are performed in compliance with utility procedures, standards and requirements. Identifies and provides recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives by developing and implementing internal assessments. Participate and support Exelon Corporation compliance program. Note: This position may be required to work extended hours for coverage for storms and other energy delivery emergencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field with 4-7 years' experience working in any combination of electric utility transmission, operations, regulatory, legal or financial disciplines. OR in lieu of a bachelor's degree, 6-9 years of relevant business experience.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and determine compliance requirements associated with NERC and Regional Standards
  • Knowledge and ability to apply problem solving approaches
  • Knowledge and use of computer systems and applications with Word/Access/Excel/PowerPoint/Passport/Cascade
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Knowledge and experience with regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, practices, and engineering principles.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, determine, and report utility compliance to Exelon Utility procedures, standards and requirements. Recommend enhancements to current practices and procedures to drive continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for evaluation, tracking and reporting of Exelon Utility compliance with NERC and RFC Standards
  • Responsible for performing self assessments of Exelon Utilities compliance to procedures, policies and actions taken as result of RCI, ACE or Condition Report corrective actions
  • Create mitigation plans based on Self Reports and monitor the status of mitigating steps through Action Tracking and Quarterly Update on each Mitigation Plan with ReliabilityFirst Corporation
  • Perform an annual self assessment for each standard Exelon Utilities has to comply with based on our registration with ReliabilityFirst Corporation. This will involve setting up kick off and challenge meetings with the appropriate subject matter experts, SME's, their Key Managers and assimilating all the information with a signoff and all documents posted to the artifact storage location
  • Ensure necessary work activities for NERC Compliance are initiated in the Work Management system, executed using procedures and tracked in systems with documented completion evidence.
  • Provide analysis and support to leadership for the NERC Compliance Program including ongoing reporting of performance improvements, organizational initiatives and compliance related communications.
  • Lead/participate in compliance audits. Plan, prepare and execute audit tasks and support audit teams.
  • Represent Exelon Utilities on NERC and RFC committees to facilitate benchmarking and continuous improvement.
