About The Position

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related engineering field.
- 5–7 years of controls/automation engineering experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment (automotive BIW preferred).
- Strong proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting (Siemens, Rockwell, or equivalent) and HMI/SCADA systems.
- Hands-on experience with industrial robotics (Fanuc preferred), vision systems, motion control, safety PLCs, and fieldbus networks.
- Proven ability to perform root cause analysis under production constraints, with knowledge of IATF 16949, PFMEA, and control plans.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and support for PLCs, robotics, motion control, and vision systems within BIW production.
- Diagnose and resolve automation-related downtime, performing root cause analysis to improve safety, quality, throughput, and uptime.
- Modify and optimize PLC logic, HMI screens, and robot programs to improve usability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Support equipment upgrades, running changes, and control system updates while minimizing production disruption.
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, quality, and production teams to develop documentation, training, and preventive maintenance strategies.
