About The Position

The Senior Cost Analyst will report to the Senior Finance Manager – Cost Accounting and serve as a key contributor supporting cost accounting and inventory reporting activities across Omnicell’s manufacturing operations. This role will act as the primary Manufacturing Finance contact for assigned manufacturing site(s). The analyst will collaborate with cross‑functional teams at all levels, providing critical support for manufacturing, sourcing, and cost management initiatives. The position will proactively drive process improvements and support system enhancement projects. Requirements

  • Prior costing experience required.
  • Cost accounting or manufacturing finance experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Self‑starter with strong initiative and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong process orientation and excellent analytical skills.
  • Effective communicator across all levels of the organization.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong work ethic, patience, and customer‑service mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Prior experience with SAP or a similar large ERP system.
  • 2+ years of cost accounting experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5+ years of cost accounting experience.
  • Experience in FP&A.
  • Experience with Oracle EPM and/or Tableau.
  • Experience supporting or participating in ERP implementations or upgrades (e.g., SAP, Oracle), including testing, data validation, and process redesign.

Responsibilities

  • Apply strong costing and/or manufacturing finance experience to support daily and periodic activities.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly close responsibilities, including analysis of inventory, standard COGS/OCOGS transactions, gross and net factory absorption, standard cost roll, review of Deferred COGS, and other required activities.
  • Prepare and post monthly/quarterly accruals and reclass entries (e.g., inventory capitalization/amortization, NPI and internal‑use equipment reclasses, E&O reserve accruals).
  • Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts monthly.
  • Review Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) in Agile and provide costing approvals.
  • Provide cost accounting support to Engineering, Supply Chain, and other cross‑functional partners as needed.
  • Monitor and validate inventory balances at third‑party locations, identifying risks and partnering with Supply Chain on mitigation plans.
  • Compile quarterly excess and obsolete inventory review files for assigned plants.
  • Complete monthly reconciliations ensuring matching deferred revenue and deferred COGS.
  • Lead the annual inventory standard cost review and roll for assigned sites.
  • Support internal and external audit requests on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Maintain and update SOX narratives for inventory and cost accounting processes.
  • Perform other ad hoc analyses and special projects as assigned.
  • Assist with maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements of company reporting tools, especially SAP.
  • Prepare monthly gross and net absorption forecasts and enter forecasts into Oracle EPM.
  • Support monthly inventory balance forecasting.
  • Contribute to the annual planning cycle for assigned areas.
  • Assist with general FP&A tasks as assigned.
