In this critical role, you will work directly with our Facilities team to enable our business leaders and domain analysts to leverage data from across the enterprise to enable data-driven decision-making. You will also partner with extended team of data engineers within the Enterprise Data team to consistently implement best practices related to data pipelines and data modeling. This role will be located in Atlanta, GA and report to our Director of Enterprise Data & Analytics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or related area; Master’s degree a plus
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data with a deep understanding of data engineering best practices and datawarehousing principles
  • Expert in analytics tech stack and scripting/automation – Databricks, Fivetran, SQL, Python, DBT, Git
  • Experience with cloud technologies, such as S3, ECS, EMR, lambdas, Glue
  • We operate like a start up - You have to be a quick learner, very quick on your feet and self sufficient
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail and ability to partner effectively with extended team and stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in data engineering or analytics supporting large-scale capital programs, infrastructure projects, or construction.
  • Familiarity with data ecosystems and ERPs common in the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) industry, particularly from an owner's, operator's, or developer's perspective.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the design, development and implementation of Facilities data pipelines and data + analytics catalog (ELT) to provide stakeholders access to structured data
  • Build and maintain large scale data pipelines from internal and external data sources into our datalake on Databricks – you will be building the data ingestion and transformation layer, including bronze, silver and gold tables
  • Build modular set of data services using SQL, Python, DBT, AWS services, and other tools with appropriate controls as set by Data Governance policy
  • Automate and schedule jobs and optimize for performance
  • Implement observability on pipelines to ensure accuracy of high priority datasets using tools such as Lakehouse Monitoring, Montecarlo etc.
