About the position

We are looking for a curious and detail-oriented Data Scientist to join our Ecommerce Product Analytics team. In this role, you will support data-driven decision-making by analyzing user behavior, and contributing to A/B test design and interpretation. Your insights will help improve user experience, conversion rates, and overall e-commerce performance. You will work closely with product managers, and cross-functional teams to uncover meaningful patterns in data and turn them into actionable recommendations. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Director of Product Analytics, with opportunities to expand technical depth and grow into a more strategic or managerial path over time.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis of web and behavioral data to support key initiatives across traffic, engagement, and conversion
  • Build dashboards and reports to monitor KPIs and identify trends across the ecommerce funnel
  • Contribute to product and experimentation discussions by analyzing test results and providing data-backed recommendations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define and measure success metrics
  • Partner with product managers and business stakeholders to clarify goals and turn them into measurable questions
  • Work closely with other data teams and data engineers to ensure high-quality instrumentation and data access
  • Surface data quality issues or gaps in tracking and propose improvements collaboratively
  • Support A/B and multivariate test design and post-test analysis with guidance from senior team members
  • Apply best practices in experiment evaluation and help ensure analytical rigor in test interpretation
  • Assist in maintaining and refining experimentation workflows and documentation
  • Translate analysis findings into clear insights and visualizations for stakeholders
  • Contribute to written summaries and presentations that connect data insights to business outcomes
  • Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions, offering ideas and contributing to a culture of learning

Requirements

  • 4-8 years of experience in data analytics, ideally in a tech, product, or ecommerce environment
  • Proficient in SQL and familiar with at least one scripting/statistical language (e.g., Python, R)
  • Hands-on experience with product analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Segment, Google Analytics)
  • Familiarity with dashboarding and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau)
  • Understanding of A/B testing principles and statistical significance
  • Exposure to ecommerce funnels, conversion metrics, and behavioral analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Clear communicator who can explain data insights to non-technical audiences
  • Team player who thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a high-impact analytics team

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience working on ecommerce, digital product, or user engagement analytics
  • Exposure to marketing metrics, attribution, or customer segmentation
